General & Helpful Group Ride Info

  • All Gorham Bike & Ski Group Rides are FREE of charge. Join us for the fun, and spread the word!
  • Road bikes are recommended for on-road group rides.
  • Please arrive early to set up your bike before the ride.
  • Steady rain or thunderstorm will cancel a scheduled ride.

Gorham Bike & Ski, Portland Group Rides

Wednesday Night Mountain Bike Ride - 6:00 p.m. (No drop. All abilities.)

Start date: First Wednesday in May. End date: November 14  
Meet at Gorham Bike & Ski, Portland. 693 Congress St, Portland, or some local trail haunt.

The meeting location will be shared on Facebook and Instagram a few days prior to the ride each week. So l "Like" or "Follow" us to stay in the know.
This is fun trail ride of about 2 hours and we cover roughly 15 miles or so. Low key. Come prepared with what you need to repair a flat. And lights are recommended (but not required) early and later in the season.

Friday Morning Coffee Shop Road Ride - 7:30 a.m. (No drop. All abilities. Road bikes only.)

Start date: First Friday in May. End date: Last Friday in November. The ride has been known to go off throughout the winter if conditions cooperate.  
Meet at Gorham Bike & Ski, Portland. 693 Congress St, Portland
A talking pace up to Yarmouth for a bite to eat and a drink. Then back to Portland. The pace on the way home can be more spirited. Just be aware.

Gorham Bike & Ski, Saco Group Rides

Monday Night Mountain Bike Ride - 6:30 p.m. (No drop. All abilities.)

Start date: First Monday in May. End date: When it's too dark or too cold to ride.    
Meet at Clifford Park parking lot on Route 9 in Biddeford

We'll meet in the parking lot for Clifford Park on Route 9 in Biddeford. Fun trail ride for about one-and-a-half to 2 hours and cover roughly 8-10 miles or so. Very low key. Come prepared with what you need to repair a flat. And lights are recommended (but not required) early and later in the season.

Gorham Bike & Ski, Kennebunk Group Rides

Thursday Night Road Ride - 5:50 p.m. (No drop. All abilities. Road bikes only.)

Start date: First Thursday in May. End date: When there is not enough daylight to ride. Usually early Ocotober.
Meet at Gorham Bike & Ski, Kennebunk. 65 Portland Rd., Kennebunk  
This is a no drop ride. The group naturally splits into groups of different ability if enough riders show up. But we have regrouping points along the way. The ride will vary between 25-30 miles depending on available light, taking in a different route each week and usually takes the group 1.5 to two hours.

Start date: First Friday in May. End date: Last Friday in November.  
Meet at Gorham Bike & Ski, Brunswick. 88 Union St., Brunswick  
This is a beautiful no drop ride from Brunswick to Yarmouth. The intention of this ride is to provide a relaxed and fun ride to meet the popular Portland Coffee Ride coming up from Portland. There is emphasis on relaxed and fun! 15mph avg ride to Yarmouth and back. Estimated length in miles and in time:32 total miles 2.5 hours.
