Great Replacement for my Specialized

By

from Baytown, Tx.

About Me

Pros

  • Easy to ride
  • Smooth ride
  • Comfortable saddle

Cons

  • Just a little heavy

Best Uses

  • Bike Path Riding

Comments:

I too had to replace my Alez due to neck problems. I got it so I could ride more upright. The bike is a smooth ride. SHifts well and the gearing seems to be ok. No problems with in between gearing. The bigger tires really smooths out the rough roads. I had forgotten that I had traded speed for comfort.

Comments:

Due to back issues I traded in my Specialized Spectra Road Bile for this comfort Hybrid and it was without a doubt a great deal. The bike rides smooth and very comfortable. Bike Works is the place to buy a bike...

I had a road bike and decided it was time for a more comfortable ride. Spoke with Lisa at store and she was a fountain of information and helped me to make the best selection for me. I love it and feel very good riding it. Louie made sure the fit was right and off I went. Very happy with the product and the great customer service I received at store.

Getting old isn't all that bad I guess

Comments:

I was forced back on to a comfort hybrid from a Roubiax Coup, which I loved, but a failing shoulder replacement necessitated an upright position., BUT the good news is, even tho it's not hi tech carbon model, it's still a blast to ride, and fully capable of putting on some miles. I switched to 700x28 hi pressure road tires (110 - 125 psi) and it really gave the bike a sportier feel, better speed and climbing, and I feel better road capability. I really like the bike!

    Comments:

I recently purchased this bike and couldn't be any happier. I am bigger than most bike riders and I was very concerned about being comfortable and safe on a bike. With the help of some experienced people at my LBS I was sized appropriately with this bike. I have had the bike for about 3 weeks now and am closing in on 150 miles. This bike has handled my size and weight very well while riding along the tow paths near Akron. My wife has recently told me that I love the bike more than her. I have offered to buy her one as well.

      Comments:

Really comfortable. Nice upright riding position. A pleasure to ride. Love pretty much everything about it. Blue-green color really nice-looking too. One teeny little flaw. The display that shows what gear I'm in can be hard to read. It has a clear reflective cover that in some lights can be hard to see through. Not a great bit of design. But other than that this is a terrific bike for a recreational rider!

My wife and I both got one of these bikes about a month ago to ride on the rail trail. Tested a few bikes over at [...], which was a plus. Now I'm not a cyclist, just turned 50 want to get some exercise and enjoy the outside. Found the bike to be built solid (I"m almost 300lbs), rides smoothly and I'm quite happy with it. Have done a lot of miles on the trail and the wife and I are really enjoying the Crossroads .. No five stars because I think the price point could be better .. but hey I think all bikes should cost 50 dollars. It's a good bike and I would recommend it to a friend.

I've had this bike for about 5 days now, and I really like it a lot! The only reason I gave this bike 4 out of 5 stars is because before I bought this one, I test rode a different bike and it was an amazing ride, but out of my price range. I ride mainly for exercise, but also for recreation as well. I wanted a hybrid for the added durability because I ride in many different locations and I never know what I'll be riding into. This bike has definitely met my expectations, is a quality product, and has a very reasonable price for what you get.

              Comments:

I use this bike for commuting and for casual biking on the weekends. It is a well built bike with good gear selection to get up hills. Is is quite comfortable. The tires that come with it, (Specialized Hemisphere) are another story. To put it simply they are no good, and have in my opinion a poor tread design. I have had 5 flats in 2 months driving on city streets and bike trails. I replaced both tires with the Specialized Armadillo Crossroads tire and have not had a flat in 6 months.
